Introducing Justice with Humanity + Our Learning Lab
A new space for learning, connection, and change in the legal profession
I’m thrilled to introduce Justice with Humanity, a new community of attorneys and legal system stakeholders committed to building skills, advancing justice, and centering humanity.
For over a decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of law and trauma—supporting survivors of human trafficking, training attorneys and judges, and advocating for systemic reforms. Again and again, I’ve seen how deeply the legal system struggles to address trauma: for clients, for lawyers, and for communities. Too often, the system causes more harm than it heals.
Justice with Humanity is a vision and a community. A space where lawyers, advocates, educators, and organizations can learn, grow, and practice differently. Our mission is clear: Building Skills. Advancing Justice. Centering Humanity.
Through Justice with Humanity, I’ll be offering:
The Learning Lab – a hub for innovative, practical trainings that equip professionals with trauma-informed skills.
Writing & Storytelling – essays, blogs, and resources that spark conversation about law, justice, and humanity. You can follow along on Substack here.
Consulting & Expert Work – supporting attorneys, nonprofits, and organizations to create lasting systems change.

Why Now
Launching Justice with Humanity and the Learning Lab is about more than offering trainings. It’s about building a community.
The legal system will never be truly just unless it is also trauma-informed. This work is urgent—for survivors who deserve dignity, for attorneys who need tools and support, and for communities that want a justice system rooted in humanity rather than harm.
This is just the beginning. Soon, we’ll be rolling out additional trainings—including a Trauma-Informed Boot Camp for Criminal Attorneys—along with advanced workshops and resources to help reshape our profession.
At Justice with Humanity, we believe attorneys and legal system stakeholders have the power to transform not only cases, but systems. And together, we can build a justice system that heals instead of harms.
